MontiArts Newsletter November 2025

Well… that was a show, wasn’t it? Fall showed off this year like it was auditioning for a gallery wall — oranges, yellows, reds and every maple acting like it owns the place. A full-on painter’s palette falling from the sky.

And while the leaves were busy making everything gorgeous, we’ve been busy too — because there are some truly great things coming up at

MontiArts. Workshops, public art projects, winter studio nights — it’s going to be a fun season.

And here’s the honest truth: we absolutely could not do any of this without you — our community. Your participation, your cheering, your curiosity, your donations, your kids, your parents, your questions, your “I wanna try that!” energy — you’re the reason this works.

So grab a cozy drink, settle in, and see what’s next.

Lots to be excited about — read on!

Block Printing Series

Welcome to the world of block printing! This series of classes will help you expand your knowledge and experience of block printing. Using rubber carving blocks we will create a variety of images and print them on both paper and fabric. You will learn to make multicolor prints and how to use your blocks to print beautiful, washable patterns on fabric. Students are encouraged but not required to bring in their own ideas, photos and patterns to work from. All materials and tools are provided, but if you have your own carving tools or items you would like to print on (stationery, t-shirts, etc) please feel free to bring them to class!
