Crop Seed Art is a fun and creative activity where seeds, grains, and dried beans are arranged to make colorful pictures and designs.

By using different shapes, sizes, and natural colors, participants can create unique artwork while learning about crops and agriculture.

It’s an easy, hands-on project for all ages that encourages creativity, patience and appreciation for farming and nature.

Sometimes called “Wool Painting,” this wool felting technique is used to create 2 dimensional art work.  We will frame our work with an embroidery hoop so it is ready to hang on your wall!   We will use notched needles to felt wool roving onto fabric to create images from simple coloring book-style pictures to more complicated landscapes, depending on the interests of the students

Join Tamra Kowalski for an interesting class creating a 16-point star ornament known as the Froebel Star.  Using a complex folding process, we will create this beautiful ornament, dip it in liquid wax to preserve it, and embellish it with glitter (of course!)  Make as many as you like during our class time.

Learn to make your own custom journal for drawing, note-taking, painting or anything else you need a blank book for. This would be a great Christmas present idea as well!

We will give new life to vintage hardcover books that were headed to the recycling bin by removing the covers and filling them with fresh paper.  We will then bind the pages to the covers using a Coptic stitch. The resulting journal will lie flat when opened and can be made with paper of your choice to suit your journaling needs. 

All materials are provided, but if you have a hardcover book that measures roughly 5x8 inches that you would like to use, feel free to bring it.
