April Showers bring May… Flower Shows?
Spring has sprung, and so have the arts! In this issue, you’ll find all the colorful details about our upcoming School District Art Show, a special All-Day Open Studio, a spring Floral Art Show and another exciting summer of Mosaic Workshops to create even more public art for our town. There’s a lot blooming at MontiArts- and we can’t wait for you to be a part of it!

MontiArts is once again hosting Monticello School’s District Art Show. Our regular events will be held at our 2nd location “The Garage” that week. Please plan accordingly and stop in to see what the students have created!
The Art Kits went fast! More coming!
We’re excited to invite artists of all ages to our Spring Floral Art Show! To make it as accessable as possible, we offered free art kits- including a 5x7 canvas, two brushes, and paint- to help people get started, and they went fast! We’ll have one more round of kits avaiable soon, but once they’re gone they’re gone!
We can’t wait to see all the beautiful floral creations!
Drumming Circle- 3rd Sunday
Drumming Circle – Every Third Sunday. We had a fantastic turnout for the last session, with lots of energy, excitement, and a great community vibe.
It was the perfect way to get out and make music together. Join Shawn again this month on May18th for another great session. We’d love to see you there! Bring your own drum or email Shawn Gellert at shawngellert@yahoo.com to reserve one in advance.
IT’S MOSAIC TIME!!!!
Last month, our Project Grant was approved by the Central MN Arts Board, and we’re thrilled to build on the momentum from last summer. We’ll begin with more mosaic fish, followed by hand-built seating placed throughout the community, and finish with a Teen Art Club mosaic project.
We will be hosting another popular All-Day Open Studio during Walk N Roll. What’s Walk N Roll, you say? Head to the City Of Monticello’s website to see. It’s a TON of fun! MontiArts will be at West Bridge Park that morning and then come see us there and at our building! … 213 West Broadway, within walking distance of the Park.
